Thunder Look To Steal Game 2 Tonight

Posted: Updated:

The Oklahoma City Thunder know they let a golden opportunity slip away in Game 1 Sunday night. Now, they'll look to avoid falling in an 0-2 hole that few teams have ever come back from.

The Thunder led by nine points heading to the fourth quarter in Sunday night's 101-98 loss to the Spurs. San Antonio erupted for 39 points in the final 12 minutes, led by Manu Ginobili, who led the Spurs with 26 points off the bench.

Thunder head coach Scott Brooks admits keeping defensive star Serge Ibaka on the bench for much of the fourth quarter was a mistake and says he knows better for tonight's Game 2.

While it's not a "must-win" game for the Thunder, it is a very important game as teams down 0-2 in a best of seven series go on to lose the series 94-percent of the time.

Tonight's game starts at 8 p.m. and can be seen on TNT.
