A 13-year-old boy went into surgery after being stabbed Wednesday night.

TPD Corporal Jay Estes told KTUL.com that the young man was stabbed with a knife near the 6000 block North Owasso Avenue.

EMSA reportedly took the boy to Saint Francis Hospital.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) arrived on the scene after EMSA had taken the victim to Saint Francis and after witnesses had left.

TCSO Captain John Bowman told KTUL.com that they were able to find juvenile witnesses Thursday morning who led them to a suspect.

Capt. Bowman said 18-year-old Colt Alan Teague has been booked into David L. Moss, charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.

According to Capt. Bowman, the 13-year-old had been stabbed in the stomach.  He is expected to recover.
