West Tulsa -
A car collided with a semi truck Friday afternoon.
Police told Tulsa's Channel 8 that a gray four-door sedan hydroplaned northbound on Highway 75, spun out of control, clipped the back end of a semi, and bounced off a retaining wall.
It happened at 3500 South Highway 75 just after 4:00 p.m.
Police said the driver of the car sustained minor injuries and that its passenger was not injured. Seatbelts were worn, and airbags reportedly deployed.
The driver of the semi was not injured, according to police.
Hydroplaning can occur on any wet road surface, but the first ten minutes of a light rain can be the most dangerous.
