A man was hit by a truck while leaving QuikTrip Friday night.

Just after 9:00 p.m., a man wearing dark clothing left the QuikTrip parking lot in the 1400 block of South Denver Avenue.

While crossing Denver Avenue, he was hit by a white Ford truck.

Police told Tulsa's Channel 8's crew on the scene that the pedestrian suffered a severe leg injury and was taken by EMSA to Saint John Medical Center.

As of 10:00 p.m. Friday, police had not decided to issue any citations to the driver.

Drivers have trouble seeing people wearing dark clothing at night. Authorities recommend pedestrians wear reflective clothing at night.
