Police Investigate Murder of a Pregnant Woman

Posted: Updated:

Police are trying to solve the murder of 19-year old Marshay Wesson. Police say someone killed her, and her unborn baby, near 2800 N. Wheeling. The neighborhood appears to be a quiet place, with two vacant lots and a church close by.

Here, someone took Wesson's life, police say.  Her final Facebook posting tell us more about her life. She wrote on Sunday, "I have every reason to smile.  I have a wonderful daughter who's love is like no other she is the best .I start school June 12. ill soon have a wonderful son. I have my own car and place to stay.!!! Its all just good lol;".

The joy she shared with the world was short lived. Less than 24-hours she was found dead, in a maroon Chevrolet.

"It was a neighbor passed the vehicle and  thought it looked suspicious, got out to investigate and that is when they determined the female was dead inside the vehicle," said Officer Leland Ashley.

Police searched the car, checking for evidence and details that might help them solve the murder of this young mother.

"It is disturbing anytime anyone gets killed when very young. It is really disturbing to us when we don't know what happened. We are just like anyone else, we wonder why. How did this happen what was the motive and right now so early answer are we don't know," explained Captain Steve Odom, of the Tulsa Police Department.

Marshay Wesson died right next to a church. Now friends on her Facebook page say they are praying for her, praying for her family, praying for understanding.

Police are still searching for answers. They are looking for info. They're asking anyone with details to call them, at Crimestoppers 918-596-COPS.
