Beware Of Fake Tickets, Online Broker Warns

Posted: Updated:

The Oklahoma City Thunder are a hot ticket right now. But, an online broker says some people could end up with fake tickets if they aren't careful.

Oklahoma Tickets Unlimited says they've gotten calls from people saying they've found ads for tickets on Craigslist.org from people posing as the legitimate ticket broker.

"It happens every Super Bowl, it happens every Final Four, it happens every national championship game," Scooter Proctor told KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City. "I mean, there are just people out there taking advantage of people."

Sellers say the best place to find tickets to tonight's Thunder game is from the team itself or from a recognized broker. In fact, the team has the "Thunder TicketExchange", a service on its website that enables fans who have real tickets to securely sell them through the Thunder website.

You can find the Thunder TicketExchange online at https://teamexchange.ticketmaster.com/html/eventlist.htmI?l=EN&team=okcnba&wt.mc_id=NBATEAM_OKC_FAQ_TE_LINK

Proctor warns -- if you find tickets for the Western Conference Finals and the price sounds too good to be true, it likely is. And, if you think tickets are hot now, if Oklahoma City wins tonight and makes it to the NBA Finals, the tickets will be scorching.
