NEO Goes to National Rodeo Competition

Posted: Updated:

For the first time in 4 years, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College will be represented at the College National Finals Rodeo.

Freshman Levi Rudd of Chelsea and Cody Carlin of Neosho, Mo. will travel to Casper, Wyo. this Friday for the championship on June 10-16.

NEO Rodeo Coach Kolby Ungeheuer will go with Rudd, the steer wrestler, and Carlin, the team roping heeler.  This journey will be possible thanks to the NEO's Presidential Partners. The group donated $1,500 to help fund the cost of traveling and entry fee expenses.

Since it's establishment by the NEO Development Foundation in 2009, the group has helped send students to study abroad, supported Theatre NEO in their production expenses, funded scholarships for NEO's top ten freshmen, and provided for other various projects.  Over the course of the past three years, a total of $149,000 has been donated by the 67 Presidential Partners.
