Courthouse Awards Ceremony To Be Held Thursday

Tulsa County Sheriff's Office will hold an awards ceremony Thursday morning at 10:30.  They will recognize several of their employees for their heroic acts during the courthouse shooting that took place on March 7.

The ceremony will award outstanding employees in three categories: Purple Heart, Medal of Valor, and Meritorious Service.  The employees being awarded of these include Deputy David Adam Fortenberry for the Purple Heart; Deputy David Adam Fortenberry, Corporal Dennis Miller, and Deputy Stephen Culley for the Medal of Valor; and Captain Larry Merchant, Sergeant Judy Pounds, and Deputy David Pool for Meritorious Service.

The event will take place at the Tulsa County Courthouse located at 500 South Denver, Tulsa, Oklahoma in Courtroom 605.
