East Tulsa -
A GMC SUV drove into a house Thursday night.
It happened in the 5900 block of East Newton Street just after 9:00 p.m.
Tulsa Police told Tulsa's Channel 8's crew on the scene that the driver lost control of his SUV, hit a tree in the yard, and then hit the house.
After trying to drive off, the SUV reportedly drove into the house again.
The driver fled on foot before residents or neighbors could detain him.
Police said there were beer cans found inside the SUV.
The house sustained minor damage to the siding, and no one was injured.
Witnesses described the driver as an Hispanic man in his 20s.
