Osage County, OK -
Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep are reportedly doing a new movie right here in Green Country.
Shooting for the movie August: Osage County starts this fall. It's a movie adaptation of Tulsa-born playwright and actor Tracy Letts' play, which won the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and later ran for 18 months on Broadway.
The story is based in Pawhuska and centers around The Weston family as they overcome certain differences when their alcoholic patriarch goes missing.
Some communities in Osage County rely on rural water to supply their needs. Many families use pond water as their main water source. Residents say they hope this new movie will raise awareness and get funding for clean water.
