Severe weather is possible today and tonight across eastern Oklahoma as a weak cold front pushes through the area.
Already this morning, severe storms had broken out in southwestern Missouri and western Arkansas. This afternoon, as that weak cold front moves through, there is a chance of additional thunderstorms developing, however those should remain below severe limits.
This evening and later tonight, more storms are likely, especially across southeastern Oklahoma. Those could reach severe levels, producing large hail and damaging winds.
Slight chances of severe weather will continue throughout the week.
In addition to the severe weather threat, temperatures in southeastern Oklahoma will top out in the low to mid 90s with heat index values that could reach or exceed 100 degrees.
