As the temperature goes up this summer, so does your electric bill.

The Oklahoma Department of Human Services will once again help low income residents pay their summer cooling bills.

The agency has about $22 million to spend this summer.

Eligibility is based on the size of the household and monthly income.

DHS will begin taking applications on July 9th.

Those applying will need their latest electric bill and verification of income.
