Channel 8's Kim Jackson went on a prowl for Thunder fashions, to see what Tulsans were buying. She walked away with more than a story.....
What's been surprising is the way that women are choosing to take part in Thundermania. In fact it's possible to be thundered up, from head to toe.
"This is the first time I've been in this store," said Nancy Estes, who was on a mission, in Posh Style Boutique.
Why are women on such a Thunder fashion kick?
"I love it because that way everybody can get into it. I've been to all the stores looking for Thunder shirts. A girlfriend said, 'I wore my Thunder shirt yesterday and I am washing it and I am wearing it again today," laughed Estes.
Posh Style has been sold out of the T-shirts, but they put together blue and orange ensembles.
"What we've been trying to do is come up with Thunder shirt alternatives for people that are really wanting to rock the colors and sport out," said Lee Clack.
Blue and orange seem to be popular colors already. They can grab a bag, accessories and even shoes--and be ready for the game.
"They coordinate great with gray and silver and gold so it lets you mix and match and change the outfit from game to game," said Clack.
It seems women have Thundered up, for the men who will be hustling down the court.
"I love all the Thunder cookies, the Thunder everything people have going out, cool," said Estes.
Stores like this one, love all the business that Thunder is generating. They've seen customers they've never expected.
With that, reporter Kim Jackson turned customer and bought the shoes she tried on for this story. You can see those shoes, in the picture attached to this story!
