There was no mistaking which vehicle was not with the police, but for a while now, the man inside the pickup truck has had a lot of people fooled.
"This individual is very convincing, he's very convincing," said TPD officer Leland Ashley.
Barry Baker, Jr., or as he would have you believe homicide detective Matt Baker.
"He's known to have a ballistic vest with the word police across it, in some instances he's even had a gun in a holster," said Ashley.
Police say he's passed himself off as an officer at least twice, but that may be just the tip of the ice berg.
"There could be a dozen, maybe less, but as much as he's been out there having contact with individuals, he's probably did this before," he said.

"The thought is there's some profound personality problem in somebody like this," said psychiatrist Peter Rao.
Authorities say he called OHP saying he was suicidal, tried to run over an officer and sped through the streets of OKC before being stopped and tasered. Doctor Rao's take on what's going on inside someone like this?
"Usually somebody who doesn't have much of an identity for themselves, so it feels fairly empty inside, and so they create or recreate people to fill up that void inside of them," he said.
