A three-star linebacker from a prep school in Dallas has given his verbal commitment to play at the University of Oklahoma.
According to Sooners Illustrated, Jordan Mastrogiovanni, a 6'2", 230-pound middle linebacker prospect from Jesuit Prep, committed to the Sooners Thursday.
Mastrogiovanni is a three-star recruit and is ranked by Scout.com as the 16th best middle linebacker prospect in the country.
He also has offers from more than a dozen other schools, including Baylor, Texas Tech and West Virginia of the Big 12 as well as Arizona State, Arkansas, Boise State, Clemson, LSU, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, UCLA and Washington.
Mastrogiovanni is OU's tenth commitment for the 2013 recruiting class.
Verbal commitments are non-binding. The first day athletes can sign national letters of intent is February sixth.
