Broken Arrow, OK -
It's Flag Day across the nation, and a special ceremony in Broken Arrow brought people together to honor our flag.
But Thursday's celebration was also to honor a new Veteran's museum.
It's the first one of its kind in Oklahoma. Once opened, will feature uniforms, books and everything in between. Organizers say there will be more than 2,000 artifacts in the museum.
The city is excited to get all this history. Mayor Craig Thurmond says, "There are certain military-type museums that take a certain aspect of the military, but there is really nothing that encompasses everything."
The city expects the museum to be open by Veteran's Day.
Crews have already started work on getting the walls up and the floors clean.
The newly-crowned Miss Oklahoma was also on hand.
