Tulsa -
A woman died in a house fire Friday afternoon.
Just after 3:00 p.m. Friday, the Tulsa Fire Department responded to a fire in the 5000 block of East 3rd Street in Tulsa.
Authorities told Tulsa's Channel 8's crew on the scene that a neighbor had seen smoke coming out of attic vent and had called 911.
"Smoke was emitting from one of the attic fans," said Tulsa Fire Captain Nate Morgans.
The fire had been primarily in the woman's bedroom, where firefighters found the woman dead.
A preliminary investigation is underway, and the identity of the victim has not been released.
"We think it's an adult," Morgans said.
Two arson investigators are still on the scene, though arson has not been identified as the cause of the fire.
"The fire is out," Morgans said. "We're just conducting the investigation."
