East Tulsa -

A man is at large after firing a gun inside a home Saturday morning.

Tulsa Police responded to a call about shots being fired in the 2400 block of South 124th East Avenue around 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police found a woman and her child in the front yard.

The woman told officers that her boyfriend, her child's biological father, had fired shots into a wall inside the house and that she believed the suspect was in the attic.

TPD Sergeant Terry Maurer told KTUL.com that police set up a perimeter around the house and began calling over a loud speaker for the suspect to come out of the house with his hands up.

Because the suspect's silver Chevy Impala was parked in front of the house, police believed the suspect was still inside.

Sgt. Maurer said police made entry into the house and that they did not find the suspect.

Maurer said police located a small caliber handgun and a "big block of marijuana" in the attic.

Police were able to reach the suspect by phone, but they did not believe the suspect would return to the scene any time soon.

If the suspect is found, Maurer said he will most likely be charged with assault and battery in the presence of a minor, possession of a controlled substance, and recklessly discharging a firearm.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
