Line of cars waits to get in the Admiral Twin
Tulsa, OK -
It's day two of the Admiral Twin re-open for business, and we found it's a popular place.
Another line of cars waited to get in Saturday evening.
The owners say a few thousand people came Friday night, and they even had to turn cars away.
A fire destroyed the screens in September of 2010.
It re-opened Friday night.
From the high traffic count, it's clear people came out for more than just the movie.
Owner Richard Smith says, "The People of Tulsa are so into this drive-in that that's the reason we decided to rebuild it this time. We saved it in 1986 and my son and his partner saved it this time."
His son Blake Smith says, "It's Americana. People grew up going to drive-ins with their family and they're bringing their families out, so there is the nostalgia side."
The theater will be open seven days a week all summer long.
