Bishop Kelley's Keuchel To Make Major League Debut Sunday

Former Razorback pitcher Dallas Keuchel will make his major league debut on Sunday as he starts on the mound for the Houston Astros against the Texas Rangers.

With his call up on Sunday, Keuchel will become the sixth former Razorback in the big leagues joining Logan Forsythe of the San Diego Padres, Craig Gentry of the Texas Rangers, Eric Hinske of the Atlanta Braves, Cliff Lee of the Philadelphia Phillies and Drew Smyly of the Detroit Tigers.

Keuchel, who was drafted in the seventh round of the 2009 MLB Draft by the Astros, has started 13 games this season for Houston's triple-A affiliate, Oklahoma City, and has a 5-4 record with a 4.26 ERA. Keuchel has struck out 46 and issued just 15 walks in 80.1 innings this season.

In his three-year collegiate career at Arkansas, Keuchel pitched in 61 games, including 37 starts, and had a 19-9 record with one save and a 4.56 ERA. Keuchel pitched 234.2 innings as a Razorback and struck out 179 batters.
