Caddo County, OK -

A man is dead following a car wreck early Sunday morning.

20-year-old Austin Michael Whinery of Anadarko, Oklahoma, was driving a 2012 Nissan Maxima westbound on US Highway 62 when he failed to negotiate a right turn—according to an OHP Troop G report.

The report indicated that the Nissan drove off the road to the left and rolled twice.

Whinery was reportedly thrown through the driver's side window.

The accident happened Sunday morning just after 2:00 a.m., near County Road 1360 in Caddo County.

Whinery was pronounced dead at the scene and was taken to Steverson Funeral Home in Anadarko.

Troopers investigating the crash reported that Whinery had been drinking and exceeding the speed limit.

The OHP report indicated that he had not been wearing his seatbelt but that airbags did deploy.
