Camp ANYTOWN started this weekend at Dwight Mission Camp in Vian.
The camp is a nationally recognized diversity, leadership, and social justice program for high school students ages 14 to 18.
Since 1999 Camp ANYTOWN has impacted youth across the United States, encouraging them to create inclusive, just and prejudice-free schools and communities. This week the camp is trying to bring that positivity to Oklahoma.
Students (Delegates) attending the camp come together to build a community based on respect, understanding, and incisively.
The "Delegates" are taught to try and create a model for an ideal community and members celebrate each others differences.
The camp started Saturday and will continue through June 23rd.
