Fresh Market Scheduled To Open In South Tulsa

There's a fresh face on the corner of 81st and Yale. The company, Fresh Market will open its doors June 27th at 8 a.m.

According to the website, The Fresh Market got its start on March 5, 1982 in Greensboro, North Carolina. Its founders, Ray and Beverly Berry, wanted to develop a better grocery store that brought back the feeling of open European style markets. The fulfillment of that dream was Fresh Market grocery stores.

Fresh Market shoppers will experience a European atmosphere with its old-style butcher shop and fish market, bakery, produce, floral stands, and delicatessen.

On Sunday night a tornado went through the town of Carney. It destroyed or damaged about 40 homes. When you look out at the area there are homes in every direction that show some kind of damage. Some of the families that have lived there for 17 years and have never been through anything like this. They didn't even have enough time to get their family in the shelter.
