OHP: Teen Dead, Man Missing After Boat Capsizes

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers say a teen is dead and a man is missing after their boat capsized.

Troopers say three people were on a boat Tuesday night on Kaw Lake just off the Arkansas River in Kay County near Ponca City.

They went to run their jug lines when the boat started to fill with water and capsized.

Troopers say 19-year-old Andres Woodring, Jr., 32-year-old Joseph Shrader and 43-year-old Andrew Ancell tried to swim to shore.

Ancell pulled Woodring to the shore, but Woodring was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shrader is still missing, and rescuers had to suspend search efforts Tuesday night. They will keep searching at daybreak.

Troopers say there were no personal flotation devices in the boat.
