Nashville, TN -
Tulsa County Sheriff Deputies were attending a conference at a Nashville hotel when there was an explosion in the building.
Sgt. Shannon Clark says they were at a reception on the fourth floor of the Gaylord Opry Hotel when there was an explosion on the first floor.
Clark said he heard a loud noise, felt a rumbling like an earthquake and a blast of wind. Smoke started to rapidly fill the area, and there was lots of debris.
Clark, Undersheriff Tim Albin and Sheriff Stanley Glanz were attending the conference for several agencies around the country. The director of ICE (Imigration and Customs Enforcement), John Morton, was also attending the conference.
Hotel staff quickly evacuated everyone into the parking lot.
No one was hurt in the explosion. Authorities say the explosion was mechanical, but are still trying to figure out exactly what happened.
