Tulsa Man Arrested for Assault and Battery

A Tulsa man was arrested Thursday afternoon after his bond was increased.

35-year-old John Ray Artusi Jr. was arrested around 2:15 p.m. Thursday after a judge increased his bond to $500,000 on Wednesday.

Artusi is accused of choking a woman with a belt and throwing another woman across a room on April 9th.

He has been charged with one felony count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and one felony count of assault and battery.

His arraignment was April 25th, and his preliminary hearing will be Friday.

Artusi has previous felonies, including attempted theft and receiving stolen property in LaGrange County, Oklahoma, in 2008, theft and receiving stolen property in Elk County, Indiana, in 2006, and residential entry in St. Joseph County, Indiana, in 2000.
