Teen Recovering After North Tulsa Shooting

Posted: Updated:
North Tulsa -

A teenager is fighting for life after he's shot late Thursday night.

The victim was found outside McKinley Elementary School near Admiral and north Sheridan Road.

Police said he was shot just across the fence at McKinley Apartments and stumbled onto campus. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Cpl. Dan Miller said residents told police they heard lots of gunfire.

"There's multiple rounds, so I don't know if it was just waiting on him or if there was a gun fight that's still real sketchy, we still don't know yet," Cpl. Miller said.

At last check, the 17-year-old victim was still in surgery. Doctors tell police that he should pull through.

There is very little suspect information.

Call Crimestoppers if you know more. That number 918-596-COPS.
