Braggs OK Faces Water Shortage Due To Broken Well

With the hottest months of Summer still ahead, the Town of Braggs, OK has issued a statement to all residents asking them to please conserve water.

The plea comes as the result of a water shortage due to a broken well that is possibly going dry.

The statement from the town clerk came out earlier this morning saying:

"The town of Braggs, OK is having problems with the water system. One of our four wells is down and may be going dry. We are asking all of our customers to conserve water...Please do not use any more water than you have to... No outside watering, No filling swimming pools...etc."

Braggs Town Clerk, Rebecca J. Smith tells KTUL that since this is not a mechanical issue, they are not sure how they will address the problem yet, but they are asking citizens to please conserve as much water as possible until the situation is resolved. Channel 8 will have more information on this story as it becomes available.
