Posted: Updated:

The Walmart store near 81st and Lewis evacuated all employees and customers due to a bomb threat Thursday morning.

A call came in to the store around 9:30 A.M., warning that a bomb would go off in 30 minutes.  The store followed company policy and immediately began to evacuate all employees and customers.  Tulsa Police Department, Tulsa Fire Department, and a bomb sqaud all responded to the call.
Authorities waited 45 minutes after the threat and no explosion occurred.

All employees are returning to work, and have been cautioned to check their work areas carefully and report any suspicious objects.

KTUL has a crew on the scene and will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
