Tulsa -
Today, the city of Tulsa swore in its new fire chief.
Ray Driskell is the new leader of the city's fire department. His inauguration was held earlier today at the Tulsa Fire Academy in front of his family, friends and co-workers.
He is taking over for Allen LaCroix, who is retiring after 37 years of service.
Chief Driskell is no stranger to the fire department, either. He's worked there for 27 years, most recently serving as deputy chief.
Driskell's first official day on the job is July 1. But his duties start now. There are 23 cadets graduating from the Tulsa Fire Academy tomorrow, and he will preside over the ceremony.
