A Sand Springs man avoids jail time after pleading guilty to a child neglect charge for the death of his infant son.
Jobe Jones was arrested in February after falling asleep on a couch with his son.
When he woke up, the baby was not breathing.
The medical examiner could not determine the exact cause of death, but said foul play was not involved.
Jones was given a 7-year deferred sentence and ordered to pay $750 in court costs.
