Fire crews began battling a grass fire Friday afternoon.

According to Mannford Dispatch, the fire began southwest of Mannford near the intersection of 91st Street South and 401st West Avenue around 1:00 p.m. Friday.

Firefighters from the Mannford Fire Department, the Freedom Hill Fire Department, the Olive Volunteer Fire Department out of Drumright, and the Keystone Volunteer Fire Department out of Sand Springs were all reportedly on the scene through their mutual aid agreements.

"Tulsa Red Cross is providing canteen support to emergency responders working the grassfire near Mannford," said Tulsa Area Chapter of the American Red Cross representative Donita Quesnel. "The Red Cross team is providing hydrating beverages, snacks and meals."

Friday's grass fire comes on the tail of Thursday's fire northwest of the intersection of State Highways 48 and 33.
