Tulsa Man Arrested for Forging Prescription

A man was arrested early Saturday morning for attempting to obtain a controlled substance by forging a prescription.

55-year-old Winford Durfield allegedly tried to fill an Oxycodone prescription with a phony script at the Drug Warehouse in the 5000 block of South Sheridan Road on April 2nd.

According to court documents, Mr. Durfield was also accused of writing two consecutive checks to Garbes with insufficient funds in November of 2010.

A warrant was issued for Durfield's arrest on June 19th for all three alleged crimes.

Durfield has been charged with one felony count of attempting to obtain a controlled drug by forged script and two felony counts of uttering a forged instrument.

Court records indicate that Durfield was previously convicted of three felony counts of uttering a forged instrument in November of 2009.

Durfield was booked just after 2:00 a.m. Saturday.

His bond was set at $30,000.
