It was a poignant send-off for a Jenks Police Officer who lost his life earlier this week, as residents and local law enforcement gathered to pay their final respects at a service Monday morning at 10:00.
Officer Juan Legaretta, 27, was in the middle of a physical fitness test in Oklahoma City on Tuesday when he began to feel ill.
Legaretta was admitted to an area hospital for testing and died the following day. It's still unclear what led to his death.
Sunday Night, dozens of Jenks residents lined Main Street to watch a processional which wound its way from a funeral home in Glenpool to Saint Benedict's Church in Broken Arrow.
Troopers from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and officers from neighboring cities including Tulsa, Owasso and Glenpool participated in the processional.
