"The Twister" Makes Waves In Tulsa

If you listen to 106.1 during your morning drive, you may have noticed a change in programming on your way to work Tuesday morning. That's because a twister has arrived in Tulsa.  


No it's not tornado season, but managers at Clear Channel Radio have announced that a new country music station, "The Twister" came to Tulsa on Tuesday.   

Channel 106.1, formerly "GenX" radio, became "The Twister" Tuesday at noon. KTGX, or The Twister, will be Tulsa's newest country station.  The Twister is not new to Oklahoma, though.  The Twister has had a 19 year run in Oklahoma City, and plans to have similar programming in the Tulsa market.
