Tulsa and other surrounding areas are starting the celebration early this year! The party for America's birthday starts the night before the 4th with a parade and fireworks shows.

Check out Tulsa's First Annual Celebrate Independence Parade the evening of July 3rd. Starting at 6:30 p.m., dancers, music, celebrity impersonators, and patriotic spirit will take over Cherry Street. DJ Connection will be joined by other local businesses such as Red Bull, Epic Photography, Juliet Films, and others in hopes of spreading the red, white, and blue spirit.

The City of Owasso will also be celebrating our nation's birthday, but instead with a fireworks show. The annual Red, White & Boom fireworks display will kick off around 9:00 p.m. Tuesday. Public viewing of the colorful spectacle is offered at Owasso High School, Owasso Sixth Grade Center, and the Pizza Hut parking lot at 12922 East 86th Street North If you choose to hang out and watch the annual show, KFAQ will play patriotic music to accompany the booming of the fireworks.

Other fireworks shows are also taking place in Skiatook and Claremore. The Skiatook airport will host patriotic crowds the night of July 3rd offering food vendors, entertainment, and of course fireworks beginning around 9:40 p.m. Also, at Claremore Lake, America-loving crowds are welcome to enjoy live music starting at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday followed by a 20-minute-long fireworks show beginning around 9:30 p.m.
