TPS: Parents, Teachers Support Monthly "Early Release" Day

Tulsa Public Schools says parents and teachers support a monthly early release day.

A recent study conducted by the district found 70% favored kids being let out after lunch.

It would allow staff additional time for professional development.

66% also prefer Fridays.

41% would like to see a free after-school care program.

Administrators are still working on specifics related to transportation and after-school care.
