Three area fire departments were dispatched to Highway 97 Wednesday afternoon.
Crews from the Sand Springs Fire Department, the Rock Volunteer Fire Department, and the Country Corner Volunteer Fire Department battled the fires near the 3000 block of North State Highway 97 beginning around 3:15 p.m.
All of the fires have now been contained.
"We've had four grass fires within about a mile area at the same time," said Charlie Pearson with the Rock Volunteer Fire Department. "We've been told there's people driving by with sparklers and stuff setting the grass on fire."
Channel 8's crew alerted firefighters to a fire at 68th Street West and Rock School Road, which had engulfed a shed and some trees. A nearby house was spared.
"We had several [fires] up Lake Road, Rock Fire had several on Highway Ninety-Seven," said Jim Massey of the Country Corner Volunteer Fire Department.
Authorities believe all four of the area fires may have been intentionally set by juveniles believed to be driving a late model black Chevy Silverado pickup.
"Someone who's trying to cause these arson fires knows that everyone in the area is out on several different fires," said Massey.
The Osage County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) is searching for that vehicle.
