Gas Prices Take 12-Cent Spike

Posted: Updated:

Just as gas prices take a welcome dip, they're back on the rise again.

The price per gallon spiked while Tulsa slept Thursday night. Channel 8 crews found gas at $3.09 for regular unleaded at a west side station.

That's a $0.12 cent jump from Thursday.

Metro-area drivers are still doing okay compared to this time last year.

AAA records show gas was over $3.30 a gallon in July 2011.
