Help is on the way for Oklahomans who cannot afford to cool their homes this summer.
Starting Monday, DHS is accepting applications for LIHEAP.
The agency will have about $22-million dollars for this year's program.
One-time payments are $200 dollars for a single-person household and $250 dollars for a home with two or more people.
The lines are long, so families are asked to arrive at DHS early, rain or shine. (3666 North Peoria Avenue)
Those applying should have their latest electric bill and verification of income.
