North Tulsa -
A flight from Toronto to Dallas/Fort Worth was diverted Saturday due to weather.
Tulsa International Airport (TIA) Dispatch confirmed that American Airlines Flight 1203 was landing in Tulsa due to weather in the Dallas area.
The plane landed around 5:00 p.m. Saturday.
The Boeing 737, registry N855, had 114 passengers on board.
TIA said that there were no mechanical failures, and that there was no medical emergency. No one was able to deboard the plane until U.S. Customs officials arrived.
TIA Public Information Officer Alexis Higgins told KTUL.com that during weather diverts, the diverted planes simply land and refuel before taking off again without approaching TIA gates.
At least two other domestic American Airlines flights were diverted to Tulsa on Saturday due to weather in the Dallas area.
