Sheriff's Office To Offer Citizens' Academy

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office is gearing up for its annual summer citizens' academy.

Starting Monday, any resident in the county can attend a 10-week course.  Classes last three hours on Monday evenings.

The academy ranges from tours of the county's facilities to classes on domestic violence. Deputies are even offering ride-alongs in squad cars during shifts.
