Burn Ban Issued For McIntosh County

The McIntosh County Board of Commissioners, the McIntosh County Fire Chief and the National Weather Service have declared a burn ban for all of McIntosh county.

They released the burn ban resolution Monday morning. The burn ban is effective immediately and will run until July 16th. The ban may be extended at that time, if needed.

Violators could face misdemeanor charges as well as up to $500 in fines, and even imprisonment of up to one year.
