Tulsa Sees Increase in Tax Revenue

Some good news for the City of Tulsa, sales tax revenue is up.

Mayor Dewey Bartlett announces the sales tax money is up from this time last year by nearly $2,500. That's 4.5% more than the city budget expected.

Tulsa uses the income from sales tax to pay for many day-to-day operations, like police and fire.

On Sunday night a tornado went through the town of Carney. It destroyed or damaged about 40 homes. When you look out at the area there are homes in every direction that show some kind of damage.
