State Representative Wants Fewer Lawmakers

A state representative wants to save Oklahoma money by cutting the number of politicians.

Republican Gary Banz is House Rules Committee Chairman and oversees eastern Oklahoma County.

Banz wants to cut eight state reps and eight state senators.

If his proposal is approved in the next session, he says, the money saved will help with budget shortfalls.

No word on which districts would be effected.
