Kevin Sweat Arraignment Delayed

Kevin Sweat's formal arraignment for the murder of his girlfriend in 2011 has been reset.

He was scheduled to appear in Okfuskee County District Court on Tuesday, but the hearing has been moved to August 22nd.

Sweat is charged with first-degree murder for the July 2011 death of 23-year-old Ashley Taylor.

Sweat is also accused in the 2008 fatal shootings of 13-year-old Taylor Placker and 11-year-old Skyla Whitaker near Weleetka.

He is due to face those charges later this fall.
