Americans Spending More On Credit Cards

Americans are spending more on their credit cards for the first time in quite a while.

Credit card use is still well below where it was before the recession, but Americans increased their borrowing in May. Consumer borrowing has grown steadily over the past two years, but most of that has been driven by auto and student loans.

However, credit card debt increased by $8 billion in May - the biggest one month jump since November of 2007.
