ONEOK Field gains food honors

PETA has announced that OneOk Field scored 5th place on their 2012 list of the "Top 10 Vegetarian-Friendly Ballparks."

According to PETA, the Taco Salad, and Hummus Tabouli Platter put the Home of the Drillers in a Top Ranking Spot for the third straight year.

These are just two examples of the healthy and delicious vegetarian choices offered at the ballpark. Some other favorites include the bean burrito, vegetable wraps, vegan pizza, vegetarian tacos, vegan chicken-steak, faux-chicken patties, fresh green salad, veggie burgers, and standby veggie dogs.

"ONEOK Field might host the minor leagues, but when it comes to the delicious health-, Earth-, and animal-friendly food offered at its concession stands, it's a major league player all the way," says PETA Associate Director Chris Holbein. "Even before the first pitch is thrown out, the Drillers is a big winner in our book."

Each major and minor league team to make the Top 10 Vegetarian-Friendly Ballparks list will receive a framed certificate from PETA. For more information and to see the complete major and minor league rankings, please click here and here.
