Cherie Dawn Waggie
North Tulsa -
A woman was arrested Thursday on 29 counts of cruelty to animals and one count of second-degree burglary.
Deputies from the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office assisted a landlord with locking a tenant out of a rental unit in the 11500 block of East 63rd Street North in Tulsa.
According to the arrest report, several personal belongings had been left—along with seven dogs and 22 cats.
All of the pets were reportedly collected and taken to the Tulsa Animal Shelter for abandonment.
55-year-old Cherie Dawn Waggie showed up at the animal shelter around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Waggie was arrested and charged with 29 felony counts of cruelty to animals and one misdemeanor count of second-degree burglary.
Because much of the arrest report has been edited, it is unclear what Ms. Waggie allegedly did to the animals or what she allegedly stole.
The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office was unable to confirm information over the phone.
Waggie was booked at the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center just after 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
Her bond was set at $121,000.
