East Tulsa -
A man driving the wrong way on the Broken Arrow Expressway may have caused a three-car collision early Saturday morning.
Tulsa Police Sergeant Terry Maurer told KTUL.com that the wrong-way driver hit a car head-on, causing the second car to spin into a third car.
The accident happened just after 2:00 a.m. Saturday in the 8600 block of the Broken Arrow Expressway.
Sgt. Maurer said one man involved in the collision was taken to a local hospital with a broken femur.
A woman involved in the wreck, Maurer said, was taken to a local hospital and was in surgery as of 10:00 a.m.
Because the investigation is ongoing, police were unable to confirm how many people were in each vehicle.
Maurer said alcohol may have played a role in the accident.
